If you use the resolution 1024 x 768 then everything looks fine. But if you increase it to 1240 x 1024 then you see a big black gap between the the orange buttons on the left and the black background. Ideally, i would like it if that table (that contains the orange menu) can stay at a fixed size and the body (which is to the righ tof the menu) be a % of the page so it will stretch out as the resolution increases/decreases.

Any help is appreciated

Ok.

Use percents on a main table, and pixels on an inner one.

Yes, that should do it... but better would be to design your buttons to stretch correctly.

It would be better if they weren't images. If they stretched, thent he font would get stretched.

But going back to my original question. I ALREADY have the left bar at a certain pixel size and the body as a %...
