Hi there forum guys. I'm sorry I'm starting my first post with a question but I guess you already got used to that, and I do promise that if there is a "Introduce yourself thread.." I will go there once I finish this post, so here goes. I am searching for a javascript code that would allow me to protect one of my folders (from a webserver ofcourse) that contains sensitive data, using a user and a password. I did find some code to put into the index file (a form with user and password) and it turned out to be great, except for the fact that if you manually inserted the link of the protected page (www.something.com/userx/test.htm) the browser took you there without problems, so mainly you were just hiding the folders a bit. I want something that will help me protect the whole folder from being accessed without a password. .htaccess doesn't work as the server is a windows2003 running an IIS server. Help please!!!???

see my post in your thread in php. JS is definitely the wrong solution.
