Hello!

I am currently done making an animated banner i've been working on, however I have hit a snag.

I am using Adobe ImageReady, the whole animation is created and ready to save, but every time I save it, it reverts it to black and white removing the colour. I need to know how to save my already made animation WITH its colour - can anyone here help?

Thanks!
Destra

Generally, in animation programs, there are settings/options in the optimization process, especially if you choose 'save as' or 'export' rather than just save (which generally will use the settings from the previous time or preset defaults). You can also usually choose optimize right from the file menu before saving.

John's explanation sounds correct.

The reason you're getting two colors is because your default option is a 2-color gif.
The colors in gifs are "palletted" (set to a certain number and stored), so you must pick how many colors you want to save it with.
The more colors, the bigger the file; the inverse it true too.

So... just bump it up til it looks good (32 colors? 64? 256(max)?)

BTW, the option, at least in v.7 & CS, is "save optimized as"

:)
