need help with an advanced scroller

i've got twenty photos and captions.
i need a script that will scroll both the images and the text in a html table.
where it gets complicated is that i want it to randomise the order each time, but obviously the photo has to be paired with it's caption each time.

i'd like it each pair to scroll/marquee into view from left to right, it'd be cool if it could be in a table, because i hate div tags. and it'd be really cool if it was cross browser compatible.
