How do I copyright a website. Is there a such thing as poor man's copyright for this?Or do i just put the copyright symbol on it.
I am not a lawyer, but as far as I know, as soon as you publish original material, it is copyrighted to you. Putting "Copyright © Ben Slayton" somewhere on the page wouldn't hurt.

the only way to truly © a page, is to register it for copyright, but the problem with that is "what makes it worthy of copyright" ie, what are you protecting that you have CREATED.
If it is just a code for the website, then forget it, there is no true way to © a published website. If it is for a company's corp. intranet, and it gets leaked, then they can seek a lawauit.
However, if you are putting a copyright on the images used, on the page iteself, then that is alright, since you yourself created them [asuming you did].
