Drop down menu help please

Hi all, I wonder if someone would be able to help me please.
I am trying to use the drop down menu script and need a little bit of help. Basically the menus themselves work perfectly. My problem is that i would like to use the menus on the left hand side of a website rather than across the top and with this style of menu when the mouse hovers over the menu the drop down menu covers the other links within the menu.
What i would like to adjust is the position of the drop down so that it appears on the right hand side of the menu rather than underneath.
I hope i have made myself clear, if not i will elaborate further.

What script are you using? There are tons of menus with drop downs. For what you want, I'd try:

AnyLink Vertical Menu (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/anylinkvertical.htm)

unless you need a multilevel menu, then:

HV Menu (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/hvmenu/index.htm)

or:

Jim's DHTML Menu v5.7 (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/jimmenu/index.htm)

can both be rendered vertically, there are other multilevel menus here (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/indexc.html) that you might also want to consider.
