Background Carousel -- cannot change image size

Hi --
No matter what size I make the original image, it always shows up huge in the carousel -- I've changed and re-changed everything I can find that might affect the size.

Even a tiny thumbnail image is blown up to MORE than fill the carousel frame.

AND, how can I get an image to show up when the carousel appears? There is no image until I click on one of the arrows.

Would appreciate any pointed that would help -- this is the only blip in what is a really slick slideshow.

cam you post the code you have tried?

No code to post -- I've just been changing width and height anywhere I can find that might affect the image in the carousel. Because the images are in an array normal tweaks/fudges won't work. But thanks for reading my message -- I think I'll have to look elsewhere. In the description it doesn't address anything about the size of image -- many do -- but not this one.
