Hi All,

I just installed the rss ticker scripts, I now have the following problem,

XML Parsing Error: syntax error
Location: http://fvc.samsa.com.au/rss/lastrss/bridge.php?id=CNN
Line Number 1, Column 1:Sorry: It's not possible to reach RSS file http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss

I have had a look at the forum but nothing much there,

Well, I get a page not found for the URL http://fvc.samsa.com.au/rss/lastrss/bridge.php?id=CNN Can you repost the correct URL to it? It should return either a RSS document containing the CNN feed, or an error page from the script saying it can't reach the RSS file or some other custom error.

Nevermind, the correct URL should be: http://fvc.samsa.com.au/lastrss/bridge.php?id=CNN

It's hard to tell what the problem is just based on the error message that's output:

It could mean a number of things. Firstly, make sure lastrss.php is correctly uploaded to your server, and that the reference to it inside bridge.php is correct:


// include lastRSS
include "./lastRSS.php"; //path to lastRSS.php on your server
