Removing background, getting less pale

Hey all, I would need the background removed of the pic with the magazine, and would like to see a less shiny face.

Thanks for your fast reply and effort, Coothead, but I don't see much difference. I really need to get the shiny face away.
And it seems that removing the background of casual5 is tricky due to the magazine.
