selected text highlighting retains

I have a WP website, in which "selected text highlighting"(background:blue) retains after text deselected by selecting some other text.

what could be the reason?

Even I too come across with the same issue. At that time I use to refer some website to sort out my problem. After seeing that website only I realize, it’s a very small issue. IN website designing we have to press control button to select the particular text highlighting, it retains after text deselected by selecting some other text. It’s very useful for me to highlighting the text.

Unfortunately neither of you have PM privileges as new members, but the link I removed did not appear to relate to your problem - it was to a marketing website, so the poster is lucky to have not been banned immediately as a spammer. The post was only left in place because the "press control button" may have offered a solution.

Make use control button for selecting a particular text for highlighting. Other thing you can do is copy the text to note pad and then after use it again to highlight. Hope this will help.

Complex layouts often cause this. As far as I know there's no solution - well there are a lot of solutions, but not any one solution that works all the time for all layouts and browsers.

If it's you trying to get the text, playing around with the mouse and/or keyboard shortcuts may help. Often the text only appears to retain highlighting, it's not actually selected any longer.

If it's your site and you want to fix it - use a simpler layout.
