Apparently Microsoft is getting ready to get rid of Internet Explorer, and replace it with their new browser: "Project Spartan".
Here's a couple of articles I found online about it -

What does everyone think? :D

Another major browser we now have to detect for, since the rendering engine will be brand new I think too. What I'm excited about is that Windows 10 will apparently be a free download for both Win8 and Win7 users!

I do miss having to use Modernizr, Shims, and htc files just to support IE. Not to mention all of the questions we would get on here asking about IE6/7/8 support. For me it's one of those browsers that you hated but once it's gone you miss it. Trying to keep IE supported on your website/project was half the fun (and stress)

I was surprised and a bit excited to hear that and had to look up the news post on it. Here is what I found from cnet:

I do like Windows OS and currently use Windows 7, but am slightly gun shy after Windows Vista and Windows 8 (although I do hear good things about Windows 8.1). I am still excited about Windows 10 though :) I'm happily surprised Windows 7 users are also included in this limited time promotion.

Windows 8.1 is ok. It kind of depends on what you need/use the OS for.

If IE is truly finally bighting the dust - ah well. It really no longer was IE starting with version 10 anyway. I won't miss all the things that you could only do in it - though many will.

Windows 10 free? When it's free, you are the product.
