View Full Version : Virtual Pagination Script - Loading image and Refresh

1) Script Title: Ajax Pagination Script

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxpaginate/index.htm

3) Describe problem: Issue with pagination Previous and Next

I've set the script up on a test page and think it will work perfectly for calling pages of news stories by year: http://www.cisfl.org/newstest.html. But after looking through the CSS and JS files, I cannot find any reference to the loading.gif image. Is this something that was perhaps removed during an update?

Also, I'm a bit confused about where I should add the coding for refresh. This is what I have on my test page:

<script type="text/javascript">

var newsarticles={
pages: ["/news/page2013.html", "/news/page2012.html"],
selectedpage: 0 //set page shown by default (0=1st page)

var mybookinstance=new ajaxpageclass.createBook(newsarticles, "bookcontent", ["paginate-top", "paginate-bottom"])

I'm not sure where to add this:

Have you seen the additional setup page "COMMON QUESTIONS AND SOLUTIONS" where the example is given like this?
<a href="javascript:demo.refresh(bookonanimals)">Load Book on Animals instead</a>Theres a link at the bottom of the demo page.

Hope that helps

Hi Beverly,
Yes. I read both pages of documentation, but I think I misunderstood the Refresh function in this case. I have the links at the top and bottom and am calling pages with news articles separated by year. I think I was overtired and looking for something to perform a Ctrl-F5 for me when new items were added to existing pages. It's all good now... except for the loading.gif image, which I think got dropped along the way when the script was updated.
