1) Script Title: :: Ultimate Fade-in slideshow

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm

3) Describe problem:

I have used this script on a client site at www.drive-star.com for a couple of years - and now all of a sudden, in IE 9,10 & 11 all is well, but in Chrome and FF it has quit showing and running the slide show completely....

Could somone tell me why? And yes how to fix this too so that it runs again in Chrome & FF?

Hmm this is a srange one- it seems to be some sort of encoding problem, which renders all of the external JavaScripts on your page broken. In Firefox console the only clue provided is the following error message:

Detected UTF-16-encoded Basic Latin-only text without a byte order mark and without a transfer protocol-level declaration. Encoding this content in UTF-16 is inefficient and the character encoding should have been declared in any case.

Try reuploading the page onto your server to see if that helps...

have created a test site for same here -- http://www.kkt-testserver.com/DStar/pix/index.html

as you'll note on the real page at www.drive-star.com - I had the META tag -- <meta charset="UTF-8"> added to the page...and saved the page before u/l it to the same encoding...

so i just tried to delete that and then u/l the changed page to the test site and STILL no pix...

then I tried to add this - <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

AND yes, it now appears on that test page in FF....but still NOT in Chrome....

what might appear to be wrong here?
