View Full Version : Firefox ignores external css

I have a website with a few dozen pages. Most have one external css file and a few have more than one. Google and IE have no problem with this and the pages render correctly. The pages referencing only one css file render correctly with Firefox but the pages with multiple external css files are trashed in Firefox. The pages are W3c validated as HTML5 ... the external css files are validated level 3. An obviously related anomaly ... if I remove the second css file from the HTML page, Firefox will use the styles in the remaining css file. Is there a bug with Firefox? Is there a fix for it? Or a workaround?

There is no way for us to know what is going on without seeing the page in question.

Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out.

Adrian,
Thanks for the quick reply. I had replaced the offending pages with others until the Firefox issue was resolved and thought maybe there was a known bug. So, the pages were not on-line. Anyway, I put the pages back this a.m. and, voila! they all work perfectly. I had done nothing to them and am thoroughly mystified but all seems to be well. Thanks -Jack
