Bookmark Script Not Working

1) Script Title: :: Bookmark Site script

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/addbook.htm

3) Describe problem: This script isn't working. Here is the page I have used http://www.castlefordheritagetrust.org.uk/zSandPit.html.
But it doesn't work on the DD page either, please advise.

You're right. The script doesn't work -

The bookmarking of a page is a function of the browser. There is usually a click or series of clicks that can be used to bookmark a page. Often there's a shortcut as well (usually CTRL - D). In the past, browsers made this functionality available or at least partially available to javascript (in non-IE browsers, a sidebar bookmark was all that could be gotten). How any of that was done varied from browser to browser. However, none of that appears to be the case any longer. If any browsers do offer this, it's no longer the same way for any of them as it was when this script was last updated. I've just tested it in the latest or near latest versions of IE, FF, Opera, and Chrome. It doesn't bookmark in any of them. It used to work in IE, FF and Opera (Chrome wasn't around then).

So unless or until someone discovers a new way to make this script work, the best you can do is ask your users to "Please Bookmark this Page" and/or suggest they hit CTRL - D.
