Extra line in Jquery/CSS horizontal menu once expand

I am using Jquery/CSS for horizontal menu and got extra line after expaning the first menu. As you will see in attached pic, extra line was appeared once "Test" menu was expanded. Can you please tell me what might cause that problem. I didn't modify either jquerycssmenu.css or jquerycssmenu.js file. Just create my own HTML file to make that menu. Thanks.

Make sure you're using a standards invoking DOCTYPE for the page.

Thanks John!!! It solves that problem after including <!DOCTYPE...> at the top of the page.
