I think I see what you are talking about. Flex Level Drop Down Menu (v1.3) (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/flexdropdown.htm) and Simple Tree Menu (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/navigate1.htm) appear to be the closest to the example you gave.
