View Full Version : Thumbnailviewer2.js not working with IE10

05-17-2013, 02:58 PM
I have been using the Thumbnailviewer2.js for years on our website without issue, however after upgrading to IE10 it appears that there are issues. Mouseovers on the thumbnails no longer load the larger image in the load area. Everything still seems to work in other browsers, i.e. Chrome. An example page link from our website is below. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please post about Dynamic Drive Scripts in the Dynamic Drive Scripts Help section here where I've moved this thread, and:

Warning: Please include a link to the DD script(s) in question in your post. See this post (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7) for more information.

It's not working in any browser. You are using the latest official version of the script found here:

But the syntax of your links is from an outdated version:

<a href="Set%20Images/255/LowRES12-255.jpg" rel="enlargeimage::mouseover" rev="loadarea" title="">

That and similar now need to be:

<a href="Set%20Images/255/LowRES12-255.jpg" rel="enlargeimage" rev="targetdiv:loadarea" title="">

The browser cache may need to be cleared and/or the page refreshed to see changes.

There could also be other problems, but all those links need to be fixed first.

I have tried some things with thumbnailviewer2.js and I cannot get it working

it works with firefoix, but not IE10

can someone tell me what to change exactly on my page to make it work? (other than using the new latest .js file)

here is the page showing the viewer on the right
the code source is open to view

Update to the most recent version found here:

Make sure to follow all of the instructions on the page linked to above as both the script and its usage have changed.

Oh, and in the future, please post new questions in a new thread, and:

Warning: Please include a link to the DD script(s) in question in your post. See this post (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7) for more information.

Your question might seem the same as one asked before. In this case it's only similar.

I do not know much about forums

about this page you told me to go to?

I tried all of it and my viewer only works if I also

call up a file called: jquery.min.js

as well as the 'thumbnailviewer.js' script
maybe I am blind, but I see no reference to that script
I only found it in the code of the dynamic script's page's demo

my viewer works now

It's in Step 1 from the page I linked you to.

About following forum rules, it can take a little time to get used to them. That's why we sometimes give little reminders of them to folks who haven't been members for long or who may have but haven't had many posts. If you become a regular participant, you will get familiar with the rules I'm sure.

I'm glad the script is working for you now.
