3) Describe problem: I am making my first webpage for an University class. I just have two little problems with the code and I don't know how to solve them: the first of them is that I don't know which property I have to change to center it (it appears to have a left align) and the other one is that I have a drop down vertical menu (I don't know if it is called this way) and when it expands, the menu is behind the images not above them and I do not know what to change to make it work properly.

What's left aligned? Is it the slideshow itself, and/or the text in the descriptions?

To center the slideshow, just wrap it in a div that's set to the same width as it is and set that wrapper div's style margin to 0 auto. For example, on the included demo.htm file, for the first slideshow:


<h3>UnhookedSlider</h3>
<div id='unhookshow'></div>
<div id='unhookbuttons'></div>

Make that like:


<div style="width: 350px; margin: 0 auto;">
<h3>UnhookedSlider</h3>
<div id='unhookshow'></div>
<div id='unhookbuttons'></div>
</div>


That will take care of things for most situations. However, your layout might vary. If that's what you're going for (centering the entire slide show) and the above doesn't work for you, give me a link to the page so I can see what we're dealing with.

If you just want to or also want to center the text in the descriptions, add this to the stylesheet:


.descriptionArea {
text-align: center !important;
}

That's about it.
