Hi,
I need to add a color palette to my form so the user could select specific text inside a normal text box then choose a color from the palette.Please tell me how to do this.

Im not entirely sure what you need - it sounds as though you're describing a colour picker?

Maybe one of these will help;

http://www.menucool.com/color-picker

10 jQuery plugins here: http://www.jquery4u.com/plugins/10-color-pickers-plugin/

And here on DD;

The link to your actual page please - its easier for us to work on an existing page and see the errors/problems in context. (Also easier for people like me who are on the move a lot and can't make/upload web pages very easily via iPhone or iPad)

As my file is in my desktop, how it is possible for you to view the link .

You didnt say it was on your desktop before - you edited your post after I replied. When you give an option of "link" or "code", chances are we're going to ask for the link ;)

Just a thought - some of these scripts dont actually work unless they're uploaded to the internet so try uploading it to a temporary staging area first just to make sure.

Sorry its my mistake only.

Again sorry. I cann't understand what you are telling.

Sometimes a script doesnt work unless it is online / run over the internet, so upload what you have to a web hosting server to check that it doesnt work already.

You might find that once you've uploaded it, everything works as expected when viewed via a web browser, but you wont know that until you upload it to your web host.

I just went on to the source website to refer you to the Q&As and I can see that you are already seeking help from the developer: http://www.menucool.com/1901/Color-picker-not-working

I will leave this with them now - they will be able to help you more easily as it is their script.

Sorry, I have never used that particular colour picker. You are already in contact with the best person via the source website and waiting a few hours between replies is very reasonable and to be expected. Please wait to see what they advise and exhaust your options there before posting help requests in other, unrelated forums. I, and I'm sure others, do not want to waste time on something that somebody else is already helping you with.

I dont have time now - I have deadlines too - but if you upload your page then maybe I or somebody else can take a look at it later for you.

Mathematical symbols? The basic + (plus), - (minus), / (divide), * (multiply) can all be typed via the default keyboard keys.

I think you might mean HTML special characters? http://brucejohnson.ca/SpecialCharacters.html

There are some weird and wonderful symbols there, including some fancier ones for maths - ∑ (sum), Ω (omega)

Ya u are correct Beverleyh, i want to do that html special characters. But not directly i've to include into my code.I want to make all the symbols inside a window or something else like the palette, and by clicking the button or image named "symbol" i want to get open the window or like palette. Is it possible to do like that.
