Hi guys... Haven't been here for seversl years.
I like the site's new look. :-)

The reason I find myself here is that I'm having a problem with an old iPod and figured that I may find the help I'm looking for. It's a first generation iPod 8G. The problem I'm having is that it hangs at the apple logo. Does't tell me to plug it into the computer or anything. It just hangs there.

Should I trash it or is there any hope for it. Of course I'd like to keep it so if you can help out I sure would appreciate it.

Many thanks... :-)

May have found the answer.
Found a video on YouYube that looks promising.
Will have to wait until tomorrow but it looks like problem solved.

Thanks for being here guys/ladies.

Is this one of the old iPods that has buttons? If so (and maybe if not) I think there's some special combination you can use to reset the device. You can probably take it to an apple store and ask them to tell you how to reset it (for free, it'll just take a minute or two), and see if that helps.
I can't remember the exact combination at the moment.
