I know there are many questions online regarding this, but I am new at this and need a bit more help to tailor it to my situation.
My website is http://www.lookbookcookbook.com
The padding between the pinterest button and author name at the end of each post is different in firefox and safari. Could anyone tell me how to fix this?

They are different. But they both look OK to me. Isn't that what matters?
BTW - I checked in both browsers, they both report 55px padding.

They are both not quite where I want them to be positioned, I more so just found a compromise for them. Is there anyway to change my code or add css to make them both even?

You can use conditional style sheets to target IE and then there are a few browser specific hacks to target the rest if you need to;
IE style sheets http://css-tricks.com/how-to-create-an-ie-only-stylesheet/
Other browser hacks (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera) http://www.webmonkey.com/2010/02/browser-specific_css_hacks/
