Image Slideshow with text description help

I am trying to customize this script in several ways, but any help would be appreciated.

First off, i want to display another image where the text goes. So basically two slide shows being controlled by the same controllers simulataneously..

Secondly, and which I understand is a little involved, is apply a transitional effect to the images.
