I'm looking to update my plain text navigation to something more modern but I'm worried to death about the new navigation messing up with the search engines.

Can someone please tell me if the Smooth Navigational Menu (v1.5) is search engine friendly and compatible with latest browsers? It appears to be compatible but says nothing about its friendliness with the search engines? And is there something that needs to be done to make it search engine friendly?

I like the fact that it has both a horizontal and vertical orientation. Thank you!

It is always helpful if people post the url of a page they are refering to.Sometimes it makes a difference in more then one way.conflicts etc

I know this is an old thread but yes and no. It always was search engine compatible. It was modern browser compatible too. But since the advent of mobile and other touch device browsers it ceased to be.

However, the updated version (2.1) of the script is now compatible with virtually all browsers, mobile/touch included.

It's at the same location on DD:
