Photography Portfolio Theme

Hey, I have some mild experience with HTML and I feel that I learn it kind of quickly. I have recently started with photography but somehow I can't really figure out how to make a full screen slideshow portfolio website like this one: http://themes.themegoods.com/rhea_wp/

I don't want it to be the same thing, I just want a full screen slideshow effect. Any ideas on what I should use? Flash? Java? HTML? Thanks guys
