Im using Ultimate Fade-in slideshow (v2.4) in my website header. I am trying to implement a frame effect ( css frame without frame ) in order to keep the header and menu in view at all times ( only contents will change ). My problem lies in my header with slideshow effect, everytime a menu link is clicked, the fadeshow would reset...is it possible for the my slidehow banner to just continue scrolling even if a new page is load?

is it possible for the scrolling ( im using 2 images for my header ) to continue even if a new page is loaded? that way the frame effect would work perfectly as expected...is it possible to pass on the session variable for the pics presently displayed onto the next page? so the header would just go on scrolling...

Set the persist to true (from the first code block on the demo page, change highlighted):

var mygallery=new fadeSlideShow({
wrapperid: "fadeshow1", //ID of blank DIV on page to house Slideshow
dimensions: [250, 180], //width/height of gallery in pixels. Should reflect dimensions of largest image
imagearray: [
["http://i26.tinypic.com/11l7ls0.jpg", "", "", "Nothing beats relaxing next to the pool when the weather is hot."],
["http://i29.tinypic.com/xp3hns.jpg", "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave", "_new", "Some day I'd like to explore these caves!"],
["http://i30.tinypic.com/531q3n.jpg"],
["http://i31.tinypic.com/119w28m.jpg", "", "", "What a beautiful scene with everything changing colors."] //<--no trailing comma after very last image element!
],
displaymode: {type:'auto', pause:2500, cycles:0, wraparound:false},
persist: true, //remember last viewed slide and recall within same session?
fadeduration: 500, //transition duration (milliseconds)
descreveal: "ondemand",
togglerid: ""
})

The browser cache may need to be cleared and/or the page refreshed to see changes.

Thanks for the prompt reply jscheuer1. I have done that. I think I was not clear enough.

What I am trying to implement is this. Picture this I have a website with 5 pages, lets just name them page1,page2,page3,page4,page5.

I am in page1 then I click a button link for any of these pages, I want my header to just go on scrolling without reloading the scrolling images. is that possible ?

what im trying to accomplish is the natural effect of a frame that the header would remain in sight, only the contents would change. If I am not using a slideshow header, everything is fine. but with a slideshow header, when i click a button link the div tag header would appear still and always in sight but the slideshow would reset ( starting to display "black" before my images appears again.

As long as the on page call for the slideshow is the same for all of the pages, it should work like that.
