1) Script Title: Omni Slide Menu

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/omnislide/index.htm

3) Describe problem: Can't get "mailto" to work in "menuItems.js" file

In the "menuItems.js" file, when I insert my "mailto" code in the email section, it doesn't work. My (obviously wrong) code:

//One global variable to set, use true if you want the menus to reinit when the user changes text size (recommended):

menu[1] = {
id:'menu1', //use unique quoted id (quoted) REQUIRED!!
fontsize:'100%', // express as percentage with the % sign
linkheight:22 , // linked horizontal cells height
hdingwidth:210 , // heading - non linked horizontal cells width
// Finished configuration. Use default values for all other settings for this particular menu (menu[1]) ///

menuItems:[ // REQUIRED!!
//[name, link, target, colspan, endrow?] - leave 'link' and 'target' blank to make a header
["Pages"], //create header
["Page 1", "page_1.html", ""],
["Page 2", "page_2.html",""],

["Contact", "", ""], //create header
["Test email", "<a href=mailto:anyone@anywhere.com?subject=Request for information&body=Message Conten></a>", "_new"],
["Whatever", "http://www.smh.com.au", "_new"] //no comma after last entry

]}; // REQUIRED!! do not edit or remove

////////////////////Stop Editing/////////////////

Appreciate any help I can get on this.

Cheers & thanks,

Hi John,

Many thanks. Coming to grips with html, CSS, javascript and php reminds me of when I first starting learning Shakespeare in high school. The first play might as well have been written in a "real" foreign language. The second play was "understandable" and the third play was enjoyable.

Once again, cheers.
