Chrome drop down menu

3) Describe problem: Removing the small arrow next to the dropdown menus all together.


I would like to remove the image arrow all together from my dropdown menu. I have tried replacing the image with a 1x1pixel png transparent image which works however this is causing problems between pages and image files. Does anyone know how I can edit the chrome.js file to make the image not display.

Inside chrome.js, simply edit the below line to either modify or remove the down arrow altogether:


dropdownindicator: '<img src="down.gif" border="0" />', //specify full HTML to add to end of each menu item with a drop down menu

I tried to modify the dropdownindicator: '<img src="down.gif" border="0" />' line in the js file however I did not know what to type after the dropdownindicator:
to have the arrows not show...

Remove that line or code like below:

Problem solved.

You also have to delete the code on line 185:

menuitems[i].innerHTML=menuitems[i].innerHTML+" "+this.dropdownindicator

along with the code on line 22: dropdownindicator: '<img src="../images/down.png" border="0" />', //specify full HTML to add to end of each menu item with a drop down menu
