Swiss Army Image Slideshow is "Stuck"

I am using the Swiss Army Slideshow on the following page

(only the top slideshow will be used, the plan is to eventually remove the other two instances of the slideshow). I have 3 images currently written into the slideshow (there will be more), and when the "live" version of the page is loaded, the first image appears, but the slideshow does not work, the next image is not displayed, and the sllideshow gets "stuck" on the first image and the controls do not advance to the next image.

The "offline" version of the page seems to work fine, but when i upload it, the whole thing freezes up. Is this a DOCTYPE problem? if so, what is the correct doctype header supposed to look like?

I am a nube, please be gentle as most of the in-depth stuff will probably sail right over my head.

The second image has the extension .JPG with capital letters and not .jpg as written in the imagearray. So you will need to correct that to get it working online. It doesn't matter on a local pc, but on an online server it is crucial.
