"11. Each menu item can now have a background image. This is different from
rollovers in that the HTML can be put on top of these images. The images
are implemented with "img:image1.jpg" in the bgOut and bgOver parameters in the menu definition section."

I do not understand why "img:blank.gif" (transparent gif) does work in menus[0] and does not work (shown as black) in menus[1], menus[2] ...
Is there a solution to use transparent bgOut and bgOver in these menus ?

Thanks for your help

Whenever a transparent anything, shows up as different than expected, it is usually because there is something else between it and the background that you thought would show through. This can be a background or foreground color of any element positioned between it and the desired 'show through' element in the stacking order of the page. In the case of a transparent image, this can include the background of the element itself. You really need to walk through everything that could possibly be coming in between your image and what you want to see beneath it and either remove them or render them transparent also.
