Every time I log onto any website I get a "[Exception..."Component returned failure code: 0x80520012......" pop up. I cancel it and it reappears. When I cancel it a second time I'm free of it -- till I go to a different site.

What's going on? How do I get rid of this annoyance?

Generally one would determine the OS and which software is generating it, probably the browser. Research via Google that error code visa vis that version of that browser and that OS. Take the recommended steps.

What OS and which browser, including version are we talking about here?

For example, if this is Widows and Firefox and you have AVG anti-virus, this (disabling the AVG security toolbar addon in Firefox) may be the solution:

It was the top result of simply Googling:

Exception..."Component returned failure code: 0x80520012

I solved this problem - it was an extension that was causing the problem, it was the addin called Ask Toolbar - after I disabled this, my Firefox browser worked 100% again. I thought I would post this here in case others have the same issue. Thanks computer repair (http://www.u123.co.uk)
