How can I make a .wmv file appear like a YouTube video does with the image or box and arrow to click play?

Adobe Flash is the technology used for youtube. The videos played on youtube are in the .flv format. .wmv is a different format, proprietary to Microsoft. You can't play .wmv using Flash. Like Flash plugin for various browsers, Windows Media Player does have a plugin that is available for some browsers (on some systems, especially Windows). So you just need to google "windows media player plugin embed". But I don't recommend it since it won't work on most systems. Convert .wmv to .flv-- that's the best answer, unless that's very difficult.

You can upload your video to YouTube. They'll convert it for you and give you the code to embed it.
