Hello everyone!

I hoppe i'm on the right place to place this question...

I'm using the menu that is on the following tutorial as a language selection menu:

Everything works just great. The problem is that I need to use other charachers besides the english ones, such as and probably more. Once I type them, for example in the word "Espaol" or "Portugus", the result is a bunch of very weird charachters...

So, my question is: Is there any way to solve this situation?

Thank you so much in advance! :)

Go here and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You'll see the HTML code for these special characters:

Bom dia!

The computer needs to know to interpret these characters in that way, rather than as another character encoding format. The default for your page does not match encoding them that way (when you cut and paste).
The best method would be to add a character encoding meta tag:

UTF8 is probably the best, compatible option. You will need to use one though that actually matches the input, but UTF8 is a good guess. Unicode is pretty standard.

Alternatively, using HTML entities as in the post above is a very easy alternative, but it can be annoying to change every character in that way. It depends on how much content you have.

I always use this (http://molendijk.freei.me/converters/convert_to_unicode.html) for my foreign characters..
