using homestead the picture is cut off in the thumbnail when i download the image from image gallery even though there is still space in the thumbnail. I'm new and if I download image from image when I click on the image it will not zoom the image. When I download from gallery it will zoom. Is there another way using html so my picture will show complete in the thumbnail and when I click on it it will zoom:confused:

It will be easier to help if you can provide us a link to your website or the service you are using. You may also get more information asking homestead directly. Is "homestead" your host?

General advice: you get what you pay for. But more specifically, you don't get what you don't pay for. In fact, there are even some decent free hosts. But any free host with an "easy" WYSIWYG editor will likely have many problems and you'll discover more as you use it more. You'll greatly benefit in the end if you start now with a better host or at least don't rely on the graphic user interface for managing websites.

That said, I think you will need to contact the host directly with this question. It's also very possible that the program just doesn't allow this so you will either need to edit the files directly (if the host allows that) or find a new host-- either one with a better program (this will still limit you in the end, but maybe not at the moment) or one where you will edit the code/files manually-- harder, but you'll have a lot more control.

yes can you give me some names of better host. Homestead solution was to link onto thumbnail but it doesn't give you the same effect you have to go back and forward instead of clicking on the image and watching it zoom. I havent published this website so I dont know how to let you see it without going into homestead

It depends on how much you would be willing to pay and what features you required. Also, do you require a WYSIWYG (graphic) editor or can you work with FTP and code directly? (You could also use a program like Dreamweaver and use FTP through that, but still have WYSIWYG if you'd like.)

If you can do that, then there are lots of options. If not (if you need a website builder tool from the host) there are fewer options.

In fact, there are many hosts with decent plans for about $5/mo and until you expand your website needs you will be fine for a while, I think.
There are MANY options, but one example is godaddy.com. Not great service (like tech support), but cheap and reliable servers with pretty good options.
