Help me with "Fold-out external menu"

3) Describe problem: I love this menu style and tried to use this to make a fiction TOC :). But now I need to keep it in the middle-left in browser screen, as a statically position menu. Does anyone can help me to solve this? :)

You could try changing the position to fixed and see if that helps
