iframe ticker issue

I am using the iframe ticker code and it works great but I do have one small issue.

If you check out the script at dynamic drive http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/iframe-ticker.htm and place your mouse on the ticker over the clickable portion of the news items as they scroll through you will see that the target links get stuck on the first item that you put your mouse on. You can tell just by looking at your status bar as to what the active link is.

If you move your mouse at all then the current item will link correctly.

Is there a way to keep the link up to date as the ticker scrolls? (besides having to slightly move the mouse. ;) )

Any help or suggestions appreciated. TIA.

It is only the status bar that isn't updated, if you click on the link, it goes to the proper URL. I'm not aware of any way to prevent the status bar from doing that other than disabling it altogether:


setInterval("window.status=' ';return true;", 100)

Not a real good idea though.
