1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-In Slideshow v2.4

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm

3) Describe problem: hi dd

i've added the gallery to my webpage, can preview it fine on my browser, but when i upload it i can only see the toggles, no slideshow.

i haven't changed anything yet, it is your example. i want to make sure it is working before i fiddle.

i was trying to use http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/simplegallery.htm originally, but it wouldn't work on internet explorer, i could see it on firefox.

thanks, phaedra

What is the URL of the site you uploaded to so we can see your coding?

On the page you link to, this (highlighted from its source code):

<script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/fadeslideshow.js">

* Ultimate Fade In Slideshow v2.0- (c) Dynamic Drive DHTML code library (www.dynamicdrive.com)
* This notice MUST stay intact for legal use
* Visit Dynamic Drive at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for this script and 100s more

is 404 Not Found.

If you uploaded the script to the server, it's probably not to the scripts folder. In fact, I don't think there even is a scripts folder. It's possible that you did upload it to that folder and that the folder exists. If so, the permissions are not set for it or the folder to be accessed live. More likely, as I say, the file and the folder are just not there.

If that's the case, just make a scripts folder in the root of the domain and upload the fadeslideshow.js file to it.

hey john

i changed the permissions to read/write/execute

i can see it online, but for some reason it is zooming the page, it is larger than it is supposed to be, but fine on my preview.

thanks, you are a gem

sorry, ignore above post.

Dynamic Drive doesn't encourage donations. If you want to donate to me, see my sig at the end of all my posts, the last two are links that donate directly to me. The others are to favorite charities of mine. Any are fine. I don't believe mlegg has been around long enough to offer links like that. Or, if s/he has, has chosen not to yet.
