Quite some time ago Snookerman posted some sources for information about "email blasts" but I cannot find them. (Where is Snookerman these days anyway? I miss him.)

Can anyone point me to some good "email blast" info? Or can someone tell me how to proceed?

I'm not going to "blast" myself but need to help with a student's project a.s.a.p.

Thanks.

The Graphics Design department professor who injects "eMail blasts" into beginner's Web class also has students "slice" images (to create <TABLE> layouts).

Found some links through Del-icio-us http://www.delicious.com. But none seem to be as good as those Snookerman posted that I'm trying to locate.

David Greiner's article at http://24ways.org/2009/rock-solid-html-emails may be best found so far. But I still do not have instructions on how to insert images.

Here's what else came up:

Tips, Tricks And Resources To Build Your Email

Though harder to find than general advice on Web design, plenty of help is available online for building a successful newsletter. Over at the excellent 24 Ways, Dave Greiner has a great list of technical tips and tricks that is worth reading in full (the comments, too). Here are a few of the best tips:

Use tables for structure, instead of CSS.
Nested tables are more reliable than padding and margins.
Avoid CSS shorthand. (Use full definitions.)
Don’t use PNG images because Lotus Notes 6 and 7 do not show them.
Explicitly set a margin for every paragraph, because the defaults vary a lot.

Read the “Rock Solid HTML Emails” article for all of the tips and follow-up comments. Your next step should be to bookmark the following links and save a bunch of time (and maybe your hairline, too).

This was about as helpful as any http://articles.sitepoint.com/article/code-html-email-newsletters.

How can I mark this "RESOLVED"?

Edit your first post (if it's within the allowed time limit) and select "Resolved" from the title prefix dropdown. (In the "advanced" edit, not the quick edit.)
I'll do it for you now though.
