Turn existing website into easily viewed on iPhones

Is it possible to take a large website that is already created and add code that will make it appear clearly in iPhones?

iPhones (and iPads) have the full version of the Safari browser, so they will display almost identically to how they appear on a computer. Of course it is a smaller screen, but you can zoom in as needed.
There are a few features that aren't supported. Basically, the main problems are flash and limited input methods: there is no "hover", no right click, etc.

We will need to start working on making our website easier to view on iPhones etc. in the near future. I don't really know where to begin. If the site has to be done completely over or if I can make changes to the existing site.
