I'm having trouble getting the Ultimate Fade-in slideshow to run in IE.

This is the page in question: http://johnhawkinsgordon.com/clients/cl/about.html

The slide show comes up blank.

I've checked in a couple versions and none of them work; I'm personally running IE8 on XP.

The demo page on dynamicdrive.com works fine. I actually copied over a copy of the demo page to my server and it didn't work. I'm wondering if there's some setting on my server that's giving it trouble.

If you update the fadeslideshow.js file to the v2.4 version I think it will work. (right now you are using the old v2.1)
Replace your old fadeslideshow.js with this file (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeslideshow.js) instead. You may also want to use jquery 1.4.2

I am also having problems with Ultimate slideshow

www.modernians.org.uk (http://www.modernians.org.uk)

There should be a slideshow featuring photos from our recent training camp, but it just comes up blank.

I am using IE8 on Vista, am running Slideshow version 2.4, so am obviously missing something really simple, as it all works perfectly when previewing the site on my PC and others, but now the site has been uploaded to the net it does not work.

Any help will be appreciated.

you can delete this part of your script

var mygallery=new fadeSlideShow({
wrapperid: "fadeshow1", //ID of blank DIV on page to house Slideshow
dimensions: [0, 0], //width/height of gallery in pixels. Should reflect dimensions of largest image
imagearray: [
["", "", "", ""],
["", ""],
[""],
["", "", "", ""] //<--no trailing comma after very last image element!
],
displaymode: {type:'auto', pause:2500, cycles:0, wraparound:false},
persist: false, //remember last viewed slide and recall within same session?
fadeduration: 500, //transition duration (milliseconds)
descreveal: "none",
togglerid: ""
})

And also delete the corresponding
<div style="position: absolute; width: 264px; height: 226px; z-index: 1; left: 868px; top: 789px" id="fadeshow1">
&nbsp;</div>

There is another problem with the path to the images. The images are saved as
Image1.JPG
with JPG as capital letters. In the image array it is written with small letters, so you will need to change that. ( it works on a local pc even if they are not the same, but it will not work on a server)

Thank you very much I knew it woudl be something real simple that I was overlooking. It now works perfectly.
