SagScroller stopped functioning and gives javascript error

I began using Sagscroller last week and was succesful in getting it working. Today I began working on another part of the page, and the scroller no longer works.

Once the page loads, the little icon for a script error appears and when clicked I get:

position().top is null or not an object on line 115 character 5 of sagscroller.js

The news section is where I need the scroller and it looks as if it's not even picking up the CSS anymore.
