Can't get this JavaScript to work in Chrome and IE

Hi. I'm pretty new at JavaScript, and i got a really big problem with this script that i got from your site:

I can't get it to work in IE or Chrome. When i open it in Chrome, it just won't do what it's supposed to do. It is read from a separate .js file. I'm aware that it could be a really simple mistake, and that im just really stupid, but i really need this to work in every major used browser.

I hope you understand my problem.

Is this a problem with the demo page? If not, then we will need to see your page in order to help.
Also, this was posted in the wrong section and has been moved to the Dynamic Drive Scripts Help section.

The menu.htm in the distribution archive doesn't work locally in Chrome, but the demo page on Dynamic Drive does. So I assume it needs to be live for Chrome.

However, both work fine in IE, so you may have broken something. Does it work for you in any browser?
