Hi. I need help. How can I check my cpu temperature? How to know if my pc overheat? Thanks.
get some vaseline and a thermometer...
j/k. some cpus have heat sensors, some don't. find a good computer guy and see if they have any thermostats.
seriously, though, you'll know when your cpu overheats, because it'll make a weird noise, smoke a little bit, and your screen will go all screwy. My AMD did that. Now, I have an Intel chip that shuts itself off if it starts to get too hot. :)

Or you could use speedfan (http://download.cnet.com/SpeedFan/3000-2094_4-10067444.html). Just be careful, because it will give you the information you need to know as well as how to change your fan speeds etc. I do not do all that much in the way of high end gaming, but for those that do and who know what the stats mean, this is a useful little tool. No ads or spyware either.

You can get devices that control your cooling systems. They usually have a physical interface that goes in a CD drive spot on the front of the case. My brother has one that shows fan speeds and temperature via probes stuck in advantageous positions in the computer.

Speedfan does all that too without any extra hardware and it is free and much simpler and less invasive.
