I would get a book on php, go to your local library and check some out, you don't have to buy if you don't want to; study other poeples code, a good place to study is a forums, I have several that I visit programmingtalk.com (http://programmingtalk.com), PHP Null (http://phpnull.com), webhostingtalk.com (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/) and dynamicdrive; study tutorials, search dogpile.com (http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/web/php%2Btutorials) , and I would also become best friends with php.net. Also what I found helped me the most is to create php script and mess around with the language. Hope this help you!

Hey, i'm just 17 years old, and have build my own website in html. My most reicent task was/is to use php and mysql and make my site dynamic, and i;m well on the way... All i can say, is dont be affriad to ask for help. I wouldnt have got as far as i have without asking on this forum (many thanks to twey and everyone else for the help i've reiceved)
Also, it is best to start off using reading tutorials, i found this one v. helpful http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/phpmysql
You're welcome :)
If you're looking for a book for the reasonably clueless, I suggest "PHP In Easy Steps" by Mike McGrath, published by Computer Step. For a free tutorial, see http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp.
I just wanted to thank everyone on their tips...I will get right to it...I've already checked out a book and plan on checking out the sites...
But thanks for the help!
