Lightbox waits until all images are loaded to work. Advice?

1) Script Title: Lightbox v2.03a

3) Describe problem: I noticed that (in Safari) the lightbox will not appear until all the images in the series has loaded. So if I am loading 50 images and the first are loading up and I click on one... it will open the image in a new window rather than in the lightbox. Once the images stop loading, the lightbox starts working.

Any workaround to force the lightbox to open without all the images loading?

The script introduced here:

takes care of that. So does the original v2.04 referenced from that page. But 2.04a adds back the added capabilities of 2.03a, and then some. The First Light feature is optional.

Any questions about 2.04 or 2.04a, ask here in this thread.

I never was able to get this working. It always waited until all images loaded before it would actually appear in a lightbox. When images were still loading it would just open as a link.

I decided to go a different route and drop lightbox. Thanks though!
