Sexy Panel Vertical Menu

I'm testing the Sexy Panels Vertical Menu CSS, I'm having issues with two things:

1. Even though the width is set to 180px it shows up as 100% in IE, Chrome, FF, and Opera

2. In the example it show the left side as note showing any bullets from the li, but it is on my test page

Any ideas why? Thanks!
