1) Script Title: HV Menu 5.5

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/hvmenu/index.htm

3) Describe problem:

I realize HV menu questions may not be able to be addressed, but perhaps someone has had this issue...

HV Menu works perfect in Firefox and Chrome. However the main (Menu1) pixel height appears differently in IE.

I have the values set to "29" in my code, but when I tested it for IE, I needed "24" for the menu to appear properly. Of course, that ruins what it looks like in Firefox and Chrome.

Is anyone familiar enough with javascript to make an IF THEN sort of event based on the browser? I've spent hours researching browser sniffing, but when it came down to something I could follow, I couldn't figure out how to adapt it.

My sample site is at: http://www.lightscapewebdesign.com/oses/school/index.html

If someone knows how to code where it would choose one or the other of the following lines in the "inc/menu_var.js" script, that would work.

Menu1=new Array("School","http://www.lightscapewebdesign.com/oses/school/index.html","",4,29,102);

Menu1=new Array("School","http://www.lightscapewebdesign.com/oses/school/index.html","",4,24,102);

OR if browser detection needs to happen outside of this script, I need help in coding to choose between say "inc/menu_var.js" verses "inc/menu_var_ie.js"

I hope I am being clear enough. I really just want the pixel height of the menu to be 24 if using Internet Explorer.

Thanks,

~Cam
