1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-in Slideshow 2.4

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm

3) Describe problem: I'm feeling very stupid right now and admit that I'm a newbie. I have been trying to get the script working for hours but no joy.
I wondered if the issue was the .js script but other similar scripts I've used work. More like I'm just not understanding the instructions. Below is the code for my test page. I've also noticed that when the <icode><div id="fadeshow1"></div></icode> code is placed where I wish the slide show to appear then the whole table in which it is nested moves outside of the intended position (GoLive CS2).
Here is the code:

I did try using Swiss Army slide show. It worked - sort of, in that I just wanted the automatic slide show and not the control buttons. Also it sat low in a table even though I had the table set for contents to line up at the top. But that's a side issue unless I can't get Ultimate to work. Thanks.

Taking a quick glance at your code it looks okay to me. The problem could be the path to the fadeslideshow.js or the paths to the images. If you post a link to the page online we can take a look at it and see if we can find the error. Also we need to see the whole page with the css to say anything about the table moving outside of it's intended position

Thanks. Solved (I think). The code does not run in GoLive but seems to work on the web using a simple index page. I'll have to see if I can get it to work in a more complex layout. Maybe it was a Golive issue - it is a bit unstable sometimes.

I'll contact you again if I have further problems. Perhaps I should switch to Dreamweaver.

The other issue was with Swiss Army Slide Show, But I think the Ultimate Slide Show is better.

Thanks again
