1) Script Title: Swiss Army Image Slideshow
2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/swissarmy/index.htm
3) Describe problem:

I've adapted the code from slideshow example ONE. I've tried it in IE8, Firefox 3.5.7 and Chrome 5.0.375.55. It works fine in FF & Chrome.
However, in IE8, I get strange white dots appearing at the start and during the image transitions.

Here is my slideshow:

Here is my header code:

<script type="text/javascript">
var previmg='left.gif';
var nextimg='right.gif';

var slides=[];
slides[0] = ["http://www.dyslexiaservices.com.au/brain1.jpg", "<i>BRAIN ACTIVITY WHILE READING</i><br><br>SPECT 3D scan of the brain of a person reading,<br>who does not have Irlen Syndrome.<br><br><i>Note the red areas of activity.</i>"];
slides[1] = ["http://www.dyslexiaservices.com.au/brain2.jpg", "<i>IRLEN SYNDROME WHILE READING</i><br><br>This is the SPECT scan of the brain of a person with Irlen Syndrome,<br>while reading or under bright lighting.<br><br><i>Note areas of over stimulation.</i>"];
slides[2] = ["http://www.dyslexiaservices.com.au/brain3.jpg", "<i>READING WITH IRLEN LENSES</i><br><br>This is the SPECT scan of the brain of a person with Irlen Syndrome,<br>reading with the correct Irlen lenses or under bright lighting conditions.<br><br><i>Note there is a significant decrease in areas of over-activity.</i>"];

<script src="http://www.dyslexiaservices.com.au/swissarmy.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

And here is my body code:

<script type="text/javascript">
new inter_slide(slides, 500, 333, 50)

I've tried lots of different interval times other than 50 (up to 15000) but it doesnt appear to have any effect on the white dots in IE.
Can anyone help me solve this issue please?

Resolved this issue by switching images from jpg to png (no transparency) format. :o
