I am developing a CMS project and i was wondering where i can find some coders ? Currently we are in the development and planning stage so i do not have a budget. (meaning you won't get paid)
But those that are involved in the project will receive credit in the CMS. It will be an open source project also!
If this is in the wrong forum, sorry :)

I'm not sure how many people you'll find who just are willing to donate their time to yet another CMS project. Is there something special about this one? Do you want to fix something that others don't do? More info about that may help people get interested.
I don't have the time (or interest, to be honest) in actively participating, but I might be interested in working together, perhaps indirectly.
I'm going to assume that you are using PHP and MySQL, since that's common. You should post this very important information, though.
If that's the case, then I'm developing a sort of custom CMS for my site (PHP/MySQL), though it isn't meant to be separate from the site-- it's not a "CMS", but just a very complex single website with an admin control panel, main framework of functions, templating and automatically generated content.
Some of what I'm doing is advanced and I'm finding that I need to develop it myself for either my specific purposes or just to have it separate from a main system. One example is creating a powerful user search tool. I created a parser for search query input that then generates a valid MySQL query. (There's a thread about this on the site).
Other things I will/have done include: easy automated translation [based on a library of phrases], version control, etc.
So if you'd like to trade parts, that might be possible.

I suppose i could of been more thorough...lol...my apologies.
Yes this will be php / mysql based cms project.
And the main reason for my creating as you said "another cms" was simply because i have literally tried just about all of them and they each lacked certain things that i was looking for.
So as you are doing "custom coding" a site is great but i would like to develop a totally user friendly system. No fancy jargon or unnecessary code...just : fast, free and flexible cms system.
Some features i would like to incorporate :
Ajax
Javascript
Forum (mybb integration is currently in the works)
Easy templating system (smarty perhaps)
News System
File Management
Image Gallery
Site security
Thank you for the feedback !

not to quash your project, but have you looked into concrete5 (http://www.concrete5.org/), or some other "lightweight" CMS? The only thing lacking, "out of the box," from your list is the BB. There is probably a module for that (probably paid), but there's also a "single page" feature that makes it really easy to integrate your own pages and code.

I also don't have the time or interest to actually join such a project, but it would be fun to help you figure stuff out if you posted here. good luck!
